Privacy Policy

Effective July 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mosaic Studio LLC (“Mosaic Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our website at mosaicstudioapps.com (the “Site”) and the consumer applications we publish — including Killer's Trail, Coin Odyssey, and Couch Potato (each an “App,” and together with the Site, the “Services”). Mosaic Studio LLC is an independent software studio based in California, United States.

We take a privacy-first approach. We collect only what an App needs to work, we use no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell or rent your personal information. Our apps differ in how they work: some run entirely on your device and collect nothing, while others use an account so your content can sync across your devices. The sections below explain each.

Summary

  • Killer's Trail has no accounts and collects nothing. Your game progress, achievements, and settings are stored only on your device.
  • Coin Odyssey requires an account. It stores your coin collection and the coin photos you add in the cloud so they sync across your devices, and it uses an AI service to identify coins from those photos.
  • Couch Potato requires an account. It stores your watch history, ratings, reviews, lists, and social activity in the cloud. Some profile and social content is visible to other users.
  • Our website uses no advertising or analytics trackers and sets no marketing cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.
  • Across everything, we do not sell or rent your data, we do not use third-party ad or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Information We Collect

Apps that run entirely on your device (Killer's Trail). Killer's Trail does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and makes no network connections. Your game state, achievements, and preferences are saved only in local storage on your device and remain under your control.

Account information (Coin Odyssey and Couch Potato). These apps require an account. When you sign up, we collect the credentials and profile details needed to create and secure it:

  • Coin Odyssey. An email address and password, or, if you choose Sign in with Apple, the identifier (and, if you allow it, the name and email) that Apple provides. We store your account identifier and email.
  • Couch Potato. An email address and password, plus a username. You may optionally add a display avatar, a short bio, and a favorite genre to your public profile.

Content you create. The core purpose of these apps is to store content you choose to add, and to sync it across your devices:

  • Coin Odyssey. The coins you catalog and the details you record about them — such as year, denomination, mint mark, grade, country, purchase price and date, estimated values, and any notes — along with collection goals, achievements, and any collections you choose to share with another user.
  • Couch Potato. Your watchlist and watch status, star ratings, written reviews, episode progress, the viewing venue you record, and your custom lists; the sports teams you follow and events you track (including notes, venue details, and anyone you record watching with); and social content such as who you follow, comments, likes, and messages you send in live-event chat.

Photos and images.

  • Coin Odyssey. With your permission, the app uses your camera or photo library so you can add photos of your coins. Those photos are stored in our cloud storage as part of your collection and are sent to our AI provider to identify the coin (see AI Coin Recognition below).
  • Couch Potato. If you choose to set a profile picture, the image you upload is stored in our cloud storage and shown on your public profile.

Technical and diagnostic data. To operate the account-based apps, our backend provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, app version, device type, and request timestamps for security and reliability. Coin Odyssey may also send crash and error diagnostics to a crash-reporting service to help us fix problems; these reports contain technical details (such as error traces) and your account identifier, but not your name, email, or the contents of your collection.

Our website. The Site is a static marketing website. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Like virtually all websites, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard server log data — such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and the date and time of your request — for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. We use this only in aggregate and not to identify you.

Information you send us. If you email us — for example, at support@mosaicstudioapps.com for support — we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond. We use it only for that purpose.

How We Use Information

  • To provide the Services — create and secure your account, store your content, and sync it across your devices.
  • To power specific features — for example, identifying coins from photos in Coin Odyssey, or showing watch information and social activity in Couch Potato.
  • To respond to your support requests and other communications.
  • To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services, including diagnosing crashes and errors.
  • To protect the security and integrity of the Services, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

AI Coin Recognition (Coin Odyssey)

When you scan a coin in Coin Odyssey, the photo is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, whose Claude model returns an identification and estimated grade and value. Under Anthropic's API terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models. We use the photo only to provide this feature; we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it. A copy of the photo is also kept in your collection in our cloud storage, as described above, until you delete it.

Social Features & Public Information (Couch Potato)

Couch Potato includes social features, so some of what you add is visible to other people. Your profile (username, avatar, and bio) and social interactions such as who you follow, your comments, your likes, and messages you post in live-event chat are visible to other users and may be publicly viewable. Your ratings, reviews, and watch activity are shared with the people who follow you through the activity feed. Please keep this in mind and avoid including sensitive personal information in content you make visible to others.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Site does not use advertising, analytics, or marketing cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site trackers. Because we do not track visitors, we treat all browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals as honored by default. Our account-based apps use a login/session token to keep you signed in; this is necessary to provide the service and is not used for advertising. None of our apps use advertising identifiers or third-party analytics or ad SDKs.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers (processors). We use vendors to run the Services, and they may process information only to perform services for us:
    • Supabase hosts the accounts, databases, and cloud storage behind Coin Odyssey and Couch Potato (including your content and uploaded images).
    • Anthropic provides the AI that identifies coins from photos in Coin Odyssey.
    • A crash-reporting service (Sentry) may receive diagnostic data from Coin Odyssey, as described above.
    • Cloudflare hosts our website and processes standard server logs.
  • Content providers. Couch Potato retrieves movie, TV, and sports information from third-party data providers (such as TMDb and sports-data services). These providers receive the lookup request and your device's IP address to return results, but we do not send them your account information.
  • Other users. Where you choose to use social or sharing features — such as Couch Potato's public profiles and social activity, or a Coin Odyssey collection you share — the relevant information is visible to those users, as described above.
  • App distribution platforms. Our apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and Coin Odyssey offers Sign in with Apple. When you download or use an app, Apple and Google may collect information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mosaic Studio, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Mosaic Studio is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Data Retention

Data an app stores only on your device (such as Killer's Trail game progress) remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. For account-based apps, we keep your account and the content you create for as long as your account is active; when you delete content or your account, we delete the associated data as described under Your Choices & Deletion. Server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained for a limited period for security and reliability and then discarded or aggregated. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to address your request and our records.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls that scope your content to your account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices & Deletion

  • Killer's Trail. Uninstalling the app removes the data it stored on your device.
  • Coin Odyssey. You can delete individual coins, or delete your entire account from within the app (Profile → Delete account), which removes your account and associated collection data.
  • Couch Potato. To delete your account and its content, email us at hello@mosaicstudioapps.com and we will process your request. You can edit or remove individual entries in the app at any time.
  • Access or export. For a copy of the account information we hold about you, email us at hello@mosaicstudioapps.com.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are general-audience products and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Some titles, including Killer's Trail, contain mature horror themes intended for older audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at hello@mosaicstudioapps.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. You can exercise many of them directly: edit or delete your content in the app, delete your account (see Your Choices & Deletion), or contact us at hello@mosaicstudioapps.com.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to request access to or deletion of your personal information; to request correction of inaccurate information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The categories we may collect are identifiers (such as email and username), your account profile, the content and photos you add, and internet or device activity such as IP address and diagnostic data. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA). To make a request, email hello@mosaicstudioapps.com; we will verify your request using the email associated with your account.

California “Shine the Light” & CalOPPA. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes, so there is nothing to request under California's Shine the Light law. Consistent with the California Online Privacy Protection Act, we disclose the categories of information we handle in this policy, describe how you can review, change, and delete your information, note how we respond to Do Not Track signals above, and post the effective date of any changes.

EEA, UK & Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR). If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Mosaic Studio LLC acts as the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to provide the App and account you sign up for); our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining, and improving the Services; your consent, where we ask for it (such as camera or photo access); and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability, where these rights apply. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email hello@mosaicstudioapps.com.

International Users

We are based in the United States, and the information described here may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

Third-Party Links

Our Services may link to or interoperate with third-party sites and services, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Governing Law

This policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
