Couch Potato Terms of Use
These Terms are the agreement between you and Mosaic Studio LLC (“we,” “us”), an independent software studio based in California, United States, covering your use of Couch Potato on mobile and on the web. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. For our studio-wide terms, see the Mosaic Studio Terms of Use; our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Couch Potato for your own non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
Your Account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract, to create an account.
- You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and take responsibility for activity under your account.
- One person per account. Do not impersonate anyone else or misrepresent who you are.
- Notify us at hello@mosaicstudioapps.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Content Standards — Zero Tolerance for Abuse
Couch Potato lets you post comments, replies, reviews, live-event chat messages, a username, a bio, and a profile photo, and other users can see them. You own what you post and you are responsible for it. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted abuse of any person.
- Hate speech, or content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, age, or sexual orientation.
- Sexually explicit material, and under no circumstances any sexual content involving minors.
- Graphic violence, or content that incites or glorifies violence.
- Spam, scams, malware, or deceptive links.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy, or that discloses another person's private information.
- Anything unlawful under United States or California law.
By posting content you grant us the limited, non-exclusive license needed to host, store, and display it inside the app so the feature works — nothing more. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
Reporting and Blocking
Every comment in the app has a ••• menu with Report and Block:
- Report sends the content to us for review, with the reason you select and any detail you add. The person you report is not told who reported them.
- Block takes effect immediately: you stop seeing that person's comments and activity, they stop seeing yours, and any follow relationship between you is removed in both directions. You can review and undo your blocks under Profile → Safety.
- You can delete your own comments at any time from the same menu.

How We Act on Reports
We review reports within 24 hours. Content that violates these Terms is removed, and we suspend or terminate the accounts responsible. Repeat offenders are ejected from the service. We act on reports at our discretion and without prior notice where the violation is serious. If you believe we acted in error, email support@mosaicstudioapps.com and we will review it.
Acceptable Use
- Do not scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, its database, or other users' data, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Do not use automated systems to create accounts or flood the service with requests.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the app for other people.
- Do not rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the app.
App Store Terms
Couch Potato is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and your use is also subject to the terms of the store you downloaded it from. For the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these Terms; where these Terms conflict with that EULA, the EULA governs. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content and are not parties to these Terms, except that they are third-party beneficiaries entitled to enforce these Terms against you.
Third-Party Content
Movie and TV metadata comes from The Movie Database (TMDb); this product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. Sports scores and schedules come from the MLB Stats API, SportsData.io, and TheSportsDB. That content is provided “as is,” belongs to its respective owners, and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or availability. Posters, artwork, and team marks belong to their owners.
Intellectual Property
The app, including its software, text, graphics, logos, and artwork, is owned by Mosaic Studio LLC or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. The Mosaic Studio and Couch Potato names, logos, and artwork are our trademarks and may not be used without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Ending Your Account
You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from inside the app: open Profile and tap Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mosaic Studio LLC and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the relevant App, if any, or twenty U.S. dollars (US $20). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mosaic Studio LLC from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
